Wow, this is the weediest lake I've ever seen. I fished it a couple of times earlier in the season and caught some dinks, but today I couldn't even get within a 1/4 mile of the spots I'd fished before. I tried the dollar pad edges, all sorts of topwaters. I tried my fancy nice new Livetarget bluegill a zillion times, a few hits but no real takers. Switched to a Spro Frog and got a pounder. But that was it, finally decided to quit, it was hot and I was about out of water so started back to the launch. By that time in my usual fashion I was digging deep in the tackle box and had a Johnson's Silver Minnow on (that I've never caught anything on, but in these weeds I couldn't figure out anything else to try), and finally nailed a nice fish. It weighed in at 2lb7oz.

I live 10 min away and like this little spiny ray lake from ice out to memorial day. Then its time to move on. Weeds a big problem from then on
Frogs, rage craw, and big senco's to the weeds for nice sized Lmb. Come back April,May for Less weeds and nice action. Good luck
