We decided to hit Silver lake to try for some perch. We trolled slowly with a little weight and worms. I ended up catching two 12 inch rainbows that were both hooked cleanly in the lip so I released them. Then I caught a catfish, released. We only ended up catching two perch worth keeping but they were quite tasty. Our timing wasn't great but we caught some fish and had a good time. The wife really liked the perch and said we should catch more so we will definitely got target them at a good time so we can have a good fish fry.

Thanks for the report.. Funny, after eating some perch that we caught while fishing with the grandkid's, my wife said the same thing. We are now on the hunt for "how and where to find good quality perch!"

I live in Puyallup so Tanwax and Silver lake are close for me and have good perch and crappie fishing and they rent boats. Next time I go to one of them I want to come home with at least a dozen. Here's how I clean them:
