Our much anticipated yearly trip to the desert. New boat, good friends, great weather. Lousy fishing. We spent 3-4 hours each morning trolling from 120-190 feet ten feet off the bottom, using plugs. We hooked one fish on Sat at 160 feet deep. Lost as it came up. Just enough to tease us I guess. The top rods (2) were set for silvers and did not see one hit. Very strange. We used two rods deep. Low point of the trip - the electric downrigger's cable snapped at 90 feet deep. Had to stack the two deep rods the next day. Still, it was a great trip and the State Park is a very nice place to stay.
