Got to the lake around 7am and it was empty, which I love. Skipped the fishing dock and opted to use the topographical map to locate structure change. Fished drop shot with Fisher Brothers flat back DS worms in green pumpkin with green and purple fleck. Started on the east side of the lake off the point. First cast was a fish on!

I worked my way around the entire lake on the trail, having success at the northwest of the lake, just south of Deep Creek. Also had success on the east side of the lake. Both of these areas had several spawning beds I spotted from shore. I'd love to bring out a little Jon boat and fish this lake some more.

There is another body of water to the north of the lake that looks like bass heaven, but I'm not sure if there's anything in there.

Watched two bald eagles catch fish while I was there. Awesome!

Weather started off overcast and showers were intermittent.

I left at about noon. 6 catches total; 2 1-1.5lbs, 2 0.5lbs, 2 dinks.
