Couldn't go all the way to Roosevelt today, but had the kokanee fever real bad. Made a morning trip over to Hayden, launched @0400 and had lines in and fishing 30 mins later. Water was glass and a light breeze occasionally. Fishing was steady, about a fish every 15 mins, only a couple doubles. A lot spit the hook on the way to the boat but we managed 1 RBT and 21 kokes. Through a bunch of tiny kokes back, not sure how they managed to get their hook in their mouth to begin with. It got real hot temperature wise so we headed in before noon. About 7-10 other boats out. We were over by ourselves for almost the whole day. Not monsters by any means but a good times was had and it sure beat going to work today.

Good to hear from you Coyote. Was wondering how Hayden has been fishing, went back in April and fished hard for 10-15 small kokes. See there are still some smaller fish but good work on the numbers!

Nice work ! There are still some bigger kokes in there, becoming extremely rare. I fish Hayden sometimes twice a week, about 1 in 30 are over 15". We have landed about 20 of the original Hayden size between 15" and 18". Best of the year is 18 and 1.9 lbs. Keep digging you will find em!
