Decided to try this lake last minute with my brother.
Giving it a 3/5 rating because I didn't catch fish but literally everyone around me did.
Got there and started fishing at 7am, right as we were walking down the dock the old Asian two-poler caught two decent size rainbows one on each of his poles.. By 8 am when we left he literally was fishing 3 poles.... One bottom rig right in front of the dock and two floating rigs. Everyone around caught atleast one rainbow trout. I was using kast master spoons with no luck but everyone with live or power bait seemed to do quite well! In the hour I was there from 7-8 am I saw about 6 or 8 bows caught. The pic is of the one my bro caught on a powerbait

Most of the trout in Boren are stockers 9-12" but the Cuts are larger 12-17" and they prefer to take a worm on the bottom. Starting with 4-5 ft leader small egg sinker and small worm or small night crawler, nothing else and cast near south end from the dock. If you want the Bass should be starting up soon. This lake isn't fished very hard for trout or bass due to no boat launch, everything is pack in.

Thanks for the report. I am Asian and I am sick of Asian poachers who give me a bad name. next time you see this please call a report the poacher.
I would appreciate it. By the the city of Newcastle is doing a comprehensive plan for the lake right now. I would contact them and ask to see if they could put in a car top boat launch. I miss the old one.

@tyee4me yup that's what I saw I think all fish caught that were there were the 9-12" stocker bows. But as I've heard from different ppl it depends on the day on what they'll go for. On my brothers second cast one took his powerbait dough no problem. Also, they were caught from. Several different areas of the dock but I will keep your idea in mind, thank you!
