Our oldest grandson had an extra day of Memorial Day vacation so my wife and I took him to Mineral Lake where he caught his 1st fish with us several years ago. He is old enough now to be self sufficient on the water and he really enjoyed catching netting and cleaning his catch all by himself. The weather was beautiful and the fishing was great. On the water about 8:00 AM and limited out by 10:30. We trolled using lead core line, out two colors. Rig one was a chartreuse hootchie with a chartreuse Colorado blade behind a Macks double D dodger. Rig two was a chartreuse and red wedding ring with a chartreuse smiley blade behind a small rotating flasher. Both rigs tipped with Gulp maggots dipped in anise Super Dipping Sauce. Pretty much non stop action with lots of drive by hits and a hook up every 15 minutes or so. Both rigs worked about the same. All in all a great day on the water with my two favorite fishing partners.
