Decided to hit Moses Lake since the launch is only ten minutes from the house. Was on the water by the crack of 9:00 am and had first fish five minutes into the troll, released 14" walleye to get bigger and usually let the first fish go, superstition. Then went 3 hours with only two short bites. Tried several other areas with same results. Lots of boats out and got bounced around pretty good from the wakes.

Went back the where I caught the first fish, five minutes into the troll, fish on! In the livewell he went and went back through, fish on! repeated this three more times before the wind came up and I was having trouble holding the depth where the fish were.

Put the trolling motor on anchor lock and pitched a 3" brown/green flake grub on a 1/4oz jighead, no love for me in the hot spot. Sort of trolled, wind drifted back towards the boat launch at Connelly Park and picked up one more on the spinner and missed a few. Stopped and threw the grub in towards the rocks and caught a 21 incher on my ultralight trout rod, fun times! Fish ranged from 14" to 22" in length and ate very well.

Trolling gear was a 3/8oz lindy sinker with gold smile blade, green orange and black pill float, and purple/chartreuse beads with a slow death hook with a whole nightcrawler. . Twelve feet of water was the depth that produced, trolling speed was all over the board with the wind. Best speed was 1.1 to 1.3mph. Area I caught fish was Wild Goose Point and Shoreline drive. It became real rough at the end or I would have caught more. Missed probably 10 in the last 45 minutes on the spinner and the jig, a few even bit the curly tail off the grub.
