Went fishing out on Mayfield this evening hoping for some rainbows even though I'm a bass fisherman. Threw on a Ford fender with a leader and a spin n glo behind it and hooked up with this little guy. Tips would be appreciated because it was purely luck that got me this one. Tight lines.

I suggest tipping your spin -n -glo with a worm or 1/2 a night crawler. Also I would put a dodger about 14 inches in front of your lure. Right now fish are wandering through different depths,so I woudn't troll over 10-15 minutes at a particular depth if no strikes. Don't forget to zig-zag because a lot of strikes take place on the rise and fall and change in speed This is a great time for a two pole endorsement so you can experiment more. Good Luck!!

Can't use two pole endorsement of mayfield and only clipped trout can be kept. Easy mistake to make but it is in the rule book

Troll an F5 flatfish in frog or perch pattern or a small rainbow colored hotshot with a couple of split shot.
