Wish I had better news to report but the pike bite was slow slow slow for us on Cda and the chain lakes yesterday. we started the day with great weather. Overcast skies, zero wind and no rain. We missed three smaller sized fish on the main lake within the first 15 minutes and then nothing. We moved to the chains and managed a decent large mouth bass, maybe 3lbs, but no pike in this lake. No bites no follows, nothing. Moved on to another lake and finally managed to catch another small bass and three pike. Biggest pike was a nice 6 1/2 pounder. Fish were all ion about 8 feet of water and the pike hit on spoons. water temps in the main lake were 57ish and the chains got up to 61 degrees. Cabbage beds in the chains are looking very good now and they are developing nicely in the main lake as well. I suppose the cold weather that moved in the other day didn't help the bite any. Talked to others that had similar results. A little sunshine and warmer weather should get them going again. We only fished till about 2:45 and called it a day as the wind and rain showed up making for a not so fun end to the day.
