i have been there twice. limits both times. with two 15" hold overs, the first time. we ran at 45'. wish there was something that could be done, about the parasites. they really can stunt their growth, and, even kill them. usually, they are in the gills. good catch.

When I lived on the lake slow trolling a gold pot o gold spoon always killed the silvers especially out around that first cove to the right of the boat launch. Swapped the treble hook with a single point barbless gama siwash hook. Hopefully anyone who reads this has success using this info.

summit, was my first, and for several years, only kokanee lake. back then, no downriggers. just 1.5 oz banana weights, ahead of pop gear. snubber, and wedding ring. with maggots. limit used to be 16 then. and, the still fisherman, who, at the time, could chum, would limit out regularly. Thru the years, these fish have gotten the name "silvers", or "silver trout", when in fact, they are not silvers, nor, are they trout. riffes, are silvers. (salmon). but these, are kokanee (landlocked sockeye salmon). guess they get the "silver" from their color. and, the "trout" from their size. lol. i will have to go up again. i have taken a couple weeks off. they will be nice fish, by august.
