My sons and I hit American this again this morning with the same set ups as last week - 2 downriggers down the wire at 20' pulling dodgers with wedding band spinners (red) tipped with a lone pink Gulp maggot, and some top water wedding bands tipped with worms.
Bite was slow all around.
It was a bit windy, overcast, and keeping the boat on track was a chore.
Midway through our 4 hour trip we had 2 take downs on top - no fish.
By 10:00 a.m. - quitting time - my youngest son had 2 RBT about 11" in the box, and I had picked up the first Kokanee of the year; a 14" slab right around 9:40 a.m. Got the koke on the downrigger I was fishing on.
I wish the 4 hours of trolling could have been 12 hours - but we all have work to do so had to call it a day.
It is promising to see a nice bright koke in the box that is decent size - can't wait to get back out there.
