Amx

Went to AMX's lake to see if I could find his pets. His day was probably about over by the time I got there. First cast probably about 9:15.
As I'm putting away, I see lots of surface activity, guessing small fish. Tossed a swimbait into the mix to see if anything big was chasing, but nada.
Started working at the campground(?) area. Felt and saw lots of small fish attacking my lures. Looked like a mix of perch and fingerling LMB.
I get a decent bite on a soft plastic, but popped off.
I move to the other side of the lake. Working inbetween an island and shore, getting closer to the bank. Spotted a pretty decent catfish swimming by. I'm not feeling or seeing much activity at this flat. As I get closer to the bank, in about 1-3' of water, is when I started seeing the bigger bass. The ones I found were hugging the bank. A couple hidden under docks. Mostly LMB. And when I spotted the LMB, they were usually in pairs just cruising. Saw a couple that had to have been into the 3# range.
Found a bunch of small crappie, bluegill and sunfish I believe. A couple of the crappies looked like pretty good size actually.
Spotted several single pretty decent SMB along docks. Guessing a little bit bigger than 2# mostly.
Even though I saw all these fish, I couldn't get those buggers to bite, at least not the big ones. Had a couple follow, but that was as close as I could get. Biggest fish I landed was a monster stick fish. Then next biggest was maybe a .75# LMB. The rest were barely bigger than the lure/bait. They are there. Just not for me.
Called it quits at 12:30PM.
Only saw 1 other boat out there. I know there was another one, but he must have been lurken in his secret spots.
