On such a warm day I'm not sure I went to the lake to fish or to just be in the sun. When I arrived the wind was up so I didn't think using my inflatable kayak was a good idea so I headed to the dock but after an hour I hadn't got anything and the number of kids running around, swimming and floating made it tough to stay but luckily the wind died down so I got the IK inflated and headed out to the far side of the lake and started casting my Rapala floating minnow. After 3 casts I got a nice 12" bow. On the stringer I then did a few more casts and got another. Wow, they were hitting. Did another couple casts and another landed, but this time he must have just tried to smack the lure as he was hooked in the side. This made for an awesome fight. By now the light wind has pushed me down the lake so I cast the lure and started trolling it back up wind and after about 5 minutes, fish on! Landed and then started trolling again and within about 2 minutes I got number 5. Crazy how well that lure works. 2nd time limiting with it in a week. Last time my catch included a 16"er.
