EPIC.......UNBELIEVABLE.......RIDICULOUS........AMAZING......

Just a few of the words I could use to describe what unfolded on this lake today!! I launched at 10:30am and motored towards the north side of the lake. There were already three other boats along this shoreline so I turned west towards the outlet. I fished my way in towards the reeds throwing spinnerbaits and a swim jig, as I entered the green reeds I hooked and landed a 1.8lber. It would be the smallest fish of the day and the first of what had to be 50+!!!!! :o

I got on ONE technique and stayed on it until I left at 5:00pm. It worked EVERYWHERE!! In the 6 1/2 hours I fished it was near non-stop! Including several back to back 3-4lbers! I easily boated an average of 7 to 9 fish per hour, about 20 2.5 to 3lbers, the same in 3.0 to 4lbers and several 4.2 to 4.8lbers, the cherry on top was a 4 cast cycle that boated a 5.9lber and a 5.7lber, throw in another 5.2lber about 30 minutes later while you're at it!

BOTH of my thumbs were so raw and bloodied it was actually painful to lift the fish the last 2 hours. The big girls didn't want to stop fighting lipped or not! At one point on a hookset I got a friggin' cramp in my lower back because I had set the hook so many times already! Stopped to drink some water but wished I had ibuprofen. These fish were inhaling my bait too! No need whatsoever for a trailer hook, they were just hammering it and I had to hammer back and keep them coming out of the thick stuff! It was awesome!

IF this was my final outing on the old Tracker then what a doozey!! What a perfect end to a boating adventure that started about 16 years ago and covered 4 States, a multitude of lakes and thousands of pounds of bass! Such great memories :)

I'm usually pretty good with the details in my reports but sorry, this one is staying with me....

If you fish often enough you will have days like that. I have had a few 50 fish days but not the quality of those fish. My old 1985 Bass Tracker was on the lake today with my Grandson. I loved that boat but old age prompted me to give it away.

cummins: Thanks man, still sore! lol

spindog: good to hear from you man!

Bob: as always, good to hear your input! I was kicking around giving my boat to a member on here for a little while but then one of his videos really disappointed me and I changed my mind, that was about a year ago. It worked out for the best as I actually ended up needing to sell it to help with the down payment on the new one. The member buying it is a real good guy and I'm very happy it will still be enjoyed by an avid angler! My new one will last me until I'm done I believe so I need to stay after it while I still can! Take care sir.

Sounds like a great day! Nice sizes too. I have had some big days on top water but not in those size ranges!
