Went on a double date and went fishing at Quincy Lake. I babysat the kids while my friend Russell Johnston took the ladies out trolling for trout. Pretty slow. The three of them only landed one trout. Around noon it was my turn to go out with Russell. We went towards the far end of the lake and parked the boat. Using powerbait, Russell soon got a limit. I drew three strikes on a kastmaster in five minutes and grimly stuck with it for the next hour (without a strike) while my partner smoked me like a cheap cigar. I finally put on some powerbait and caught a trout in short order but then it was time to go. Trolling back to the launch I got one more trout.

Another pretty day - mild temps and calm waters. Nice to catch some fish too.
