Did ok yesterday, did fine today. Yesterday's best was 3.68, and 2 others that were small. All Largies. Today's best was 4.03. Largie, not on a bed. 3 Smallies today, 6 Largies. From 1 lb to 4.03. Nuttin on crankbaits, all on senkos. Water temp at 67.4, it's getting there. Water is a bit dingy, and lots of crap, ok ok 'stuff' floating.

"Getting there" as in "getting warmer and warmer and top water and spring/summer Bassin will be here soon". :-)

Hmmm, I think the best fishing of the year ends when the spawn begins and doesn't pick up again until Sept/Oct! March and April are where it's at for largemouth in this State imho.

Na, not here. Summer is so much better than sitting there waiting for a bass to decide whether or not to pick up something off or around the bed. :-) And so many different lures can be used most every day during the summer and fall.

I understand what you're saying and there's definite truth to it but my 3 best days bass fishing (up until yesterday) in 36 years of doing it were all in March and no bass in the history of Washington State has ever spawned or bedded in March. Sure the water might be cold and the techniques perhaps not as "exciting" as topwater but if you find them it can be something else and the females are still packing all that baby weight! :)

True enough. In this lake tho the fishing use to be great in March. Since the smallies have taken over in the '90s the March fishing has fallen off. I use to catch plenty of Largies, and big ones too, in March on crankbaits. Not any more, I keep trying. lol. I just have to figure out where they all go to in the winter, and where they move to in March. I've also done great in March on Banks. And on Lake Washington.
