Very tough day on Meridian today. Gorgeous weather, but nearly nothing to show for it. I was out there from about 7:00-11:00, and only pulled in one stocker bow on the only takedown of the day. None of the go-to methods that have worked for me at this lake produced today, and I had a tough time even marking any concentrations of fish. Ran two rods - one longlined, and one on a rigger. Shoepeg corn, krill scent, wedding rings, apex's, flatfish, spinners, sling blades, you name it, I tried it. Oh well - there are worse ways to spend a day!

Thanks for the report. I've been out there a couple times myself over the last month with about the same results. Hopefully we didn't lose too many carryover fish with the unusually hot weather last summer. I suppose we'll know soon enough.

I've seen numerous trout surfacing at night. That being said at least the trout are out there, not sure about kokanne. However I am worried that some of the trout may be dying of a parasite. I caught a trout recently, and when I got the guts out they were covered in parasites of some kind. Hopefully this is not a consistent pattern seen in fish caught out of Meridian

Thanks for your report. I too have done poorly there, blanked last 3 trips. The lake is filthy! It's really difficult to troll through all the crud. I won't go again until I start hearing glowing reports.
