Fished Banks Lake on 4/14 and 4/15. Thursday's weather reminded me of running charter boats in Alaska. I'm glade we remember the raingear. It rained until we had our limits. The drive home was nice and sunny. We search the normal spots and weren't finding the fish we were looking for. Lots of fish under 14 inches. Fishing pressure and the spawn has really changed things up a bit. Barkers hasn't been holding the numbers it was last month. Its time to think like a walleye and fish some different spots. We start both days fishing points and bars in 25 to 50 FOW. Both days we fish places with very little pressure. We had to weed through some fish but started picking fish up from 15" to 19" Not big but great eaters. Both days we were done and back to Wenatchee by noon. Today you could have rowed to some of the most productive spots. All fish were caught with a slow death rig or warm harness. (gold, black, brown, copper) all these colors worked well. I hope this helps a few people. Don't give up when your having a tough day. The fish have moved you just have to figure out where. Fishing is just going to get better. I still have some open spots from mid May and June to fill. Contact be for details.
