Decided last minute to take off and get some spring fishing in. I was originally headed for reliable rocky ford, then at about Vantage I had a change of heart I decided to try out dusty, or any of the other quincy lakes if that didn't pan out.

Luckily Dusty turned out to be the right ticket, no wind, no pepole (screw you rocky ford!!) And lots of hungry fish. I threw dozens if different Flys and caught fish or got strikes on well over half of them, egg patters , and tiny drys seemed to be the hot ticket. I ended the day with 8 to the net, largest was 18" smallest was 13" . This were some of the healthiest fish I have seen in a long time. Glad to see this lake bounce back. I will be back with my raft, there were some BIG fish rolling out beyond casting distance all day long.

Remember tbis is a selective gear lake! ! I hate see power bait and worm cups left all over the place expecially on a selective fishery.

Nice report. That 3rd closeup picture is really cool, I looked at it for a long time. The depth of focus is perfect separating the fish from the background and the vivid colors swirled in the gill plate and throughout the water and slime on the fish, yet focused nicely. Well done.
