Started the morning off on Lake Union with high hopes to put my first Smallmouth in the boat this year. It was very quiet in the morning and I did not get the fishy feeling. Water temps were in the low 50's but nothing. So I went to Green Lake thinking it might be a little warmer. I fished the bank tossing a spinnerbait and jig and trailer. Finally hooked up with a 1 lbs largemouth with eagle attack scars on the jig. Caught two trout trolling between locations. One was a fat carry over steelhead smolt. caught those on an orange jointed Rapala.
