Went out for the first time this year lookin fir smallies. No luck there fishing all the spots I know. So there is a guy on the bank who reels in a nice big trout. He throws it back in while we are talking. He asks, does the state tag fish in the lake? He said it had a tag and I think he said it was yellow. Anybody know anything about tagged fish in American Lake?

caught one the other day on a drop shot in 35 ft of water and one on a tube in front of a dock that reached out into 25 ft. of water. the only action all day.
