So the stars finally lined up right yesterday to take out the Tin Cup for a good full day of cutthroat chasing on Lake WA. Launched out of Coulon around 10:30 and headed west to start the troll up the channel towards the west side of Mercer.

Tried a lot of different set ups, depths, speed changes and managed 1 fish around 3pm when the water temp finally hit the 50 degree mark! Caught it on 'fishing with Gary' kokanee rainbow spoon tipped with pink maggots and shrimp scent. Hit at 25' and going about 1.8 mph.

Still gave it a 2 as it was a great day on the water and even took a lunch break at Ivar's for some halibut and chips around 2pm! Water needs to warm up just a bit more I think or just need to find the right combo to get some more fish on the line!

See you on the water!

Thanks for the report, Barry. That sure is a mint bright fish you caught!

Went out yesterday but got blanked. Noticed lots of flotsam all over the lake.

Did my conservation project...hauled all kinds of trash out of the lake including a boat bumper, several liquor bottles, two food containers, a propane canister and two dozen stray helium balloons (still inflated from over by the 90 bridge).

Hopefully that positive karma will pay me back in fish next time I'm out.

Tight Lines!
