Now that there's enough daylight to fish after work I decided to try my luck at Beaver. Showed up around 5:45, I'd say there were about 5 kids scattered on the shore fishing, mostly across from the boat launch and 3 other anglers spread out along the shore. The wind was hitting the lake pretty hard the entire afternoon, no one on shore appeared to have caught anything before I had gotten there, and while I was there, a few boats were on the lake as well. I tried various colors of PEs and the mellow worm setups at various depths with no luck. Also threw several kastmasters, roostertails, and spinners, no bites. Left the lake around 7:40, only one person on shore said they had a hit. No bites this time, but I didn't loose any gear so not bad for a short trip after work! Was a little upset with how many water bottles and trash were all over the shoreline, I did my part and tried to clean up the place a bit.

i have gone to the lake twice for the past 2 weekends around 11am and stayed for about 3-4 hours each trip and only thing i have gotten were bites. i have seen maybe one or two groups of fishermen catch 1 trout but that's about it. you cant even spot any trout feeding on the surface like they normally do. maybe not enough insects out yet. fishing is really slow on that lake as of right now. not worth your time trying. i have tried all colors of power eggs with different types of scents and no luck. also tried different leader lengths. i am assuming it is too early to fish this lake as of right now. not sure what the problem is. maybe they are still getting used to lake or it needs to warm up. normally when i go to this lake it is really good at the start or mid way through April! this is one of my favorite lakes to fish for trout. on normal trips i catch my limit within a hour or so and then right after i would head down to pine lake. very disappointing in the current results.

Thought I would chime in on this. Me and a buddy fished it last weekend in our little jon boat and caught probably 50+ fish. The key is to find them. We launched at the boat launch and went right and didn't hit a single fish than cruised over to the cove to the left of the launch and couldn't keep them off. After WDFW stocks it the fish tend to stick together in my experience and stay around the launch where they are dumped into the lake for a couple weeks. All caught on #2 blue fox vibrax copper and gold.

Interesting, I tried Sunday afternoon, nothing. Tried with a wedding ring and power eggs, and a dick nite with worm and dodger. Another guy had a fish finder and said he saw them stacked up in the middle around the big 50 ft hole, however they did not want to bite anything. I ran what I had 3 colors down, no takers.

I went out yesterday after work and had the same experience used everything for bait and threw out several lures, no bites, no life. Phillipandworld question for you; you mentioned you would catch your limit at beaver and then go to pine lake to fish the limit there, are we able to do that? I thought trout was a 5 daily limit combined locations with various other rules in place regarding species and stuff? Anyone else feel free to chime in im really curious.
