I met Glenn and Cami at the launch at 10am. This was the first time getting in a boat and out fishing for 2016. It was a first for testing my knee after total knee replacement. I was able to get in and out with the aid of the step stool I brought along without any pain.

Fishing was great! The sun was out part of the time, in between the clouds. The breeze died down as the afternoon came on. The water temperature was 47 degrees.

Glenn had one bite while we were trolling. There was brown algae that attached itself to our lines in part of the lake. We trolled till a little after 1pm and then went in search of perch. Glenn caught one which I took home for dinner.
We left the launch about 3:30pm.
I had a camera hooked up so I could see if I had any fish follow my lures. Therefore, I came home and watched several hours’ worth of underwater film to see if there were any fish. I had 2 follow it for a short time and then I brought it up a few feet and they didn’t follow.

We are in a battle! Angler against fish! We need an arsenal of weapons and at my site you will find some of those different weapons. For all those who wannafish a lure come in and take a look at WannafishALure.com.

Toni, I'm glad to see that you were able to get out with Cami, Glenn and that fancy North River. Way cool watching those early season kokanee checking things out. Thanks for the report and keep that new knee move'n.

I think I was 25-35 feet when the fish followed. I went from 45 up to 5 foot.

I knew it wouldn't be long until the itch got you out to test out that new knee. Glad you were able to get out and that it didn't slow you down.

Good luck and tight lines.

Thanks for the report!!

Toni -
Looks like you out-ran them. I've been going Much slower than usual....only about .8 with some luck at American lately.
