Well haven't had a chance to submit a report for a while due to physical limitations and not fishing much. But, felt good today and took advantage of a very warm, but windy and stormy day. Only fished for about 1-1/2 to 2 hours with a Kastmaster (there is no other lure that works more consistently on almost any type of species IMO! It is my go to lure in both salt and fresh water) and had multiple hits and landed 4 chunky trout. Would have limited out in a little more then 2 hours, but ran out of time. I think the warm 60+ degree weather was a major factor. A couple bald eagles were doing just as well swooping down on the fish. What an amazing site. Wish I could have taken more and better pics, but this is all I have. Going to go fix up some trout for dinner.

Tight lines.

The trout were swirling on Lake Sawyer today. A couple were big ones. Saw 1 Eagle flying up into a tree.

I was thinking about going to Sawyer instead since I live in Maple Valley, but decided to make the drive all the way to Ohop. I've only fished a couple times at Sawyer and never had any luck. I might have to check it out again. I've never even seen anything taken out of Sawyer, except a truck that wound up in the lake trying to pull their boat out. In fact they had to pull out a second truck that was trying to pull out the first truck that was pulling out the boat... God's honest truth. Had divers there and everything. It would have been comical if there wasn't oil and fuel leaking into the lake.

I always do really good at lake sawyer, mainly in spring... Catch a lot of 1 1/2-2 lb trout out of there

Ya, I heard about the truck fiasco. There is still oil on the water, but I don't know if that's from those trucks/boat, or people cleaning out their salt water and river boats in the fresh water, which I've seen. Or maybe from all the boats that use the launch.
