Went fishing for the first time this year with a friend who never caught trout before. We came around 9 am and threw our lines in the water we waited an hour with not one bite. I'm not an expert on trout or other fish but I thought since its winter, fish might be on the bottom so I took my pole and made 3 foot leader and put on power bait and threw my line in water. In just 2 minutes I got a fish on and pulled out a nice 12 in trout. Then my friend changed his leader to 3 feet and in less then an hour we had our limit. It was a good day in the lake.
