Waited until 8 AM to head over to Goodwin to get a read on the weather and let the ice melt off the boat cover! The plan was to target SMB, using the fishfinder to search for fish holding deeper in the colder water. Flat calm at home--blowing 12-15 at the lake....crap.

We marked a few fish in different locations, but the wind (whitecapping at times) made it impossible to hold in position to work gear slowly. We were able to get in a few "drifts" bouncing jigs and dropshots on the bottom but no success. Found a quiet corner south of the boat launch, but couldn't find any takers. Wrapped it up by 1:00PM and headed home.
