Well, stopped at Beckers tackle shop before heading to the lake today to get some swimbaits. Great guy there and a great tackle shop. Get to the water around 10 ish. Launch at sun up bay. WiND was just a blowing.. I wanna say 25-30 mph conatant. That really kicked up the water. Started out around bells bay and jusy went with the wind... no sense in fighting it. Threw the swimbait for awhile.. got snagged and popped it off then I casted out deep and hooked into a smallie. About a 2 pounder I would say. Broke out the ol A-rig for a bit... very first cast and a big big smallie come up and hit it next to the boat.. had a couple other hits but no takers with the paddle tail.. Threw a jerkbait around some shallow weeds for a pound and a half largie. water temps were 48 when the wind was after it.. 49-50 when it slacked a bit.
