I fixed up a pontoon boat I bought used online and took it out this morning to lake connor. I started off trying to hone my non existent bass fishing skills with absolutely no luck no matter what I threw out and were I threw it. so I switched to trout about my second cast with a rooster tail I caught a nice little 9inch rainbow. I lost one more a few minutes later then it all dried up tried worms and green power bait after that both on bobber and off the bottom one bite on the green power bait but didn't set the hook in time. nice quiet moring in a lake though

They planted a ton of very small trout (4"-5") this last spring. So with the colder weather these fish should be more on the bit. They typically do a plant in the fall also, but haven't heard anything yet.
