Decided to try my luck at Beaver Lake since all the rivers are closed to fishing for Coho. It's my favorite time to fish Beaver Lake because these big trout have now dispersed into the lake and you have to hunt for them. It was a beautiful calm day and I had the whole lake to myself. After trying multiple spots where I know the trout like to reside without a single bite, I got lucky on my last spot and had my 2 fish limit in 20 minutes. On my way back to the launch, a bald eagle made a dive for my head and fish. He didn't pull up until I clapped my hands loudly. However, the eagle followed me back going from tree top to tree top. Be safe and wear your life jackets.
