Well went out to clear with a friend today to try and do some bass fishing. . Needless to say we went trout fishing, again. Throwing jerkbaits 95% of the day, he landed 3 browns and one little rainbow, I landed one brown and one yearling largie again. Finally got to preform a hook removal from the hand using the string and pull method (thanks YouTube for the help). Water temps were 50 in the super shallows (1-5') and about 54 main lake. Cloudy but sunny day, wind picked up. Looking to get out one more time before Sunday.

Yeeeeeow that looks like it is about to hurt!

The treble in the finger looks like a absolutely horrible situation to be in. I was able to try out another version of barbed hook removal, that used downward pressure on the hook eye and shank before yanking the barbed hook out. No doubled string involved in this method, and is also published on youtube.

Yes- Learn how to get it out. I got hooked on Banks Lake. We went to the Electric City Clinic to get it out. The Doc cut it eye off then pushed it threw. Cost me $649.

Yeaaa, it wasn't too fun especially since the fish was still attached the first time we tried to remove it. I like the string way if there isn't another hook to get tangled up in. Had a hello kitty band aid for his troubles
