This report is actually for the last 2 Fridays. Last Friday I took mt daughter out to Long and we caught 20 dink smallies, the largest was probably only 2 lbs. Most were caught on an unwaited Senko or on a tube. My daughter did catch a nice 31 inch Pike and we both missed several others. We have been unable to find any quality bass, my guess is the water is still a little warm. Yesterday I made it out by myself and caught about 15 dink smallies with the largest maybe a pound or so. I also caught a 36 inch, 14 lb pike and missed 3 others. I missed one twice, about 33 inches, and the other two were just fish boils under my top water. There are now leaves everywhere which makes top water a little frustrating but it can definitely pay off. I was planning on going to Potholes this weekend but the weather forecast is for 20-30 mile an hour winds, no thanks maybe next weekend.

Nice pike there! Do you use steel leaders with the senkos/tubes?

When I am pitching tubes or senkos I don't use a steel leader. I normally catch pike in one small area where I don't throw either one of those.

Thanks that explains it. I was thinking you caught them on the plastics.
