My dad, friend and i went out to check our crayfish trap. When we got to the spot we left it we noticed we couldn't see the buoy so we putted around looking for the buoy when we almost got a bright yellow rope caught in our prop. It was the rope to our trap. I pulled on end to find that the line was cut by what looked like a prop. Anyway we pulled the trap to find 12 crayfish in it. We dropped two more traps and went fishing for perch aka bait while we waited for the crayfish. Two hours we pulled the traps and found 8 in the first one and 6 in the other.
We set our traps in around 10ft of water where we could see large rocks. The key is to make sure your trap is flat on the bottom.
