Got on the water about 715 am. it was quiet. and calm. did not see fish right away, but got a couple in the net within half hour or so. things were so slimey. i could not hold onto them. got them at 30' on the wire. About 930, about the time a breeze began, they started to assemble into schools. i have noticed this part-time schooling, for the last week. Using my usual seps nickel, and corn. no lure. By ten thirty, i had my five kokes. one hen. all 14" long. my waders have a leak i them. and are weather checked. time for new ones. so, i went to the lake, instead of the river. i love late summer. when its not so warm. at this time, we have slimey kokes, or slimey pinks, on the river. a regular smorgasboard of prime choices. Nice weather, tho.
