About an average day at Grandy, though it really started slow. Could be because the water level was down about 1-2 feet from early this year. Started at the lower end where we usually have success and NOTHIN' was happening. We spent nearly an hour working the trees and edge of the underwater plants with only one dink to show for it.
Finally decided to change things up and headed for the pads and weeds on the North end and that's where the bass were. Couple on cranks, a few on spinnerbaits, a few on worms, and several on plastic flukes. Not much for size today, biggest fish were probably in the 12-13" range. A really nice day on the water, however.
If you haven't been to Grandy, it's a nice little lake in a wooded setting. Dirt launch area suitable for boats up to 18' with no problem. Be prepared for LOTS of grass/weeds. Water depth runs to 15 according to the info in the Lake Index, but I've probably only seen 8-10, and there will be 4-6' of weeds covering most of the bottom. Good place for the fish to hide, however.
