arrived at the launch at seven am. has some light rain on the way there, stopped as soon as i got there. I had seen some very recent reports, that did not look so good. So, i thought i would go up and give it a try, and see if i could unlock the secret, of the kokes recent lockjaw. As i was motering out, the same fellow i see often, allready returning, with his limit. wow. this left me and two other trollers. no still fisherman. Used my usual settup. NICKEL seps dodger, with diamond tape, both sides. a short leader, of maybe five inches. doulbe hook setup. and corn. what scent? i DONT RECALL. lol. droped down to 29' on the wire. black box on, and set to .650.volts. got my first fish on, within five minutes. 14". limited by 915. three 14' two 13.5 inch. fish are still growing. nearing their prime, probably mid september, or so. i can see them reaching 15". some are allready larger than that. but, they must be slower. i did hook one that slammed my rod down, and off the clip. had it on for maybe 30 seconds, and it took line, before comming undone. darn! so. in finishing, i did not any problem with the fish. some days each of us gets a good day. others, a good hoseing. think ill go back tomorrow.
