I had a day off, so I took the kayak out with a buddy. Got into the water by 1pm, caught and released 4 little small mouths and 2 decent small mouths. Highlight of the day is my buddy catching a 1lb rock-bass and a 2lb small mouth. I lost a decent size bass at the boat and my buddy lost a good size bass at the boat as well. After a few hours, the bass action slowed down, so we switched gears and target perch. Perch action was constant, we caught and released about 20 perches in about 1 hour. Overall, it was a good day. Would have been better if there were more bass action.
