Fishing was still "ok" at best. I got skunked, my guest caught 3. Good job Jordan! Always weird when the guy you are teaching to fish catches 3 times as many as you do with your gear... but, in the end, that's my goal. Always wish and pray for a better day for your back-seater, so that your perspective as a boat owner and a person with money and time is kept in check. We got enough egos on the water already.
All fish were off of Tapps island area. Didn't see any Musky, but then again, I wasn't looking.

How is the trash in the water, you know, logs and such?

I really do need to get back to Tapps some day. Wanna take me for a ride? I just might catch something then. LOL

Saw nothing floating any longer. The stumps that were barely sticking up.... now are 6" under the water. I stick to the main lake chanells like always and never have had an issue. I slow down into shallow areas. Common sense stuff. If you do want to go there next week like Tues/Thurs, I'd be game. Always looking for someone to go with me on weekdays.

Thursday the 13th would be good. I'm old so I'd get the $5 entry fee now instead of the $15 fee., So wanna take my boat or yours? If yours I'd guess the $15 fee would be it, I don't know how they do that, I've not been to Tapps in a few years, 2011?, so wasn't so old then, and don't know if they check the ownership of the boat, and then charge accordingly.

Don't think I've ever actually ridden-in a Phoenix before. Would be in interesting change to try a "back seat" at least once this year. I could navigate. I'll cover the fuel, you can cover the launch fee. You can get directions to my place at my website www.rkpower.net. It's easy. Maybe send me a message tuesday or wednesday. Or I'll talk to you out on the lake. I'll be on Sawyer this thurs and next tues.

Oh I'd be taking the Ranger to Tapps, don't want to hit a tree with the Phoenix. lol Ya, they both have ins, but still...

I'll be on Sammamish tomorrow, still testing the motor height. On Sawyer most likely early Thr and Fri. I'll look for you. I'll have the Ranger, I think.

And don't worry about fuel, it won't use that much anyway, that lake isn't that big to worry about fuel usage.

Hey guys,
You're not going to hit any trees out there AMX..most of the ones that were out there were on the west side of Tapps island. All of those have been moved. The only one that could be dangerous is in the middle of the channel where you come out of Bonney lake. Its marked. And on the south side of Snagg Island. The lake is supposed to be topped off this coming week..per my Cascade Water Alliance email and postcard. So a lesser flow is coming into the lake. The lake level had dropped about 9" over the last 2 weeks or so..as of right now..lake level is 540.95..still about 2 feet below full pool..i have seen plenty of bass boats out there and other vessels..they are not to worried about hitting any trees..good luck out there.
