Got back up to Baker again, and the skunk is off, phew. Fished with my 4 year old from about 7 to 11 and went 2/4. I was tempted to cruise the edge along Noisy Creek side with all the other boats but marked a ton of fish closer to the middle so did some back and forth there. So many fish on the screen, it was unreal, I thought for sure we'd have some fish. Took down two right around 830, within 15 minutes of each other. Then two more hookups shortly after, but lost both.

Both were caught with pink, or pink/white UV skirts over double red hooks with brined coonstripe tail on the trailing hook, all behind a "0" dodger, with about 10 inches of 25lb flouro leader. Had the downriggers on either side of 55 for all hits. The only thing i did different this time was troll a little faster. Stayed just above 1 mph. Water was a touch cooler than it has been I think, so that may have helped.

Fun day with my son, he actually netted the bigger of the two and was very excited, it was his first time around a live salmon, he was impressed. We got off the lake just as the big storm you could see up in the hills finally made it to the lake and just dumped on us.

Great looking fish -- Which boat launch is the best to going out of?

Fish-On, I launched from Shannon Creek because I camped there, and I think only campers can launch there. Its nice and close to the fishing, which is an advantage, but the gravel road for four miles can be a rough one on the trailer so go slow. I've also launched from Panorama Pt. which is pretty close to the fishing, and has decent parking. Both launches are gravel and not too steep, but once you hit the water they drop off pretty quick so pretty east to float the boat off the trailer.

DjButler, Thanks, if that was you in the pontoon, then yes we ran into each other hauling out at Shannon creek. I saw your report too, nice work! I wouldn't say we got out before the storm though, i was soaked!
