Report on Blue Lake (Sinlehekin Valley): Lake is low compared to past few years. The north dike area is now unfishable because of low water. The north 1/4 of the lake is almost too shallow to fish. But there are some nice fish there, and they seem to be concentrated on the east bank from the middle portion of the lake. We were skunked, but we saw a few 17"-20" bows taken. Please remember that Blue is a selective fishery and no bait or treble hooks are allowed. We saw some poachers on the north-west end of the lake and made a report about them to WDFW. We counted 14 gut piles where they had been fishing with powerbait. These guys knew the lake was selective. Please be aware that lots of us who have been fishing Blue for many years are extremely vigorous in reporting any poaching we see. There are plenty of nearby lakes where bait is allowed - please fish there.
