My son and I got to the lake at about 6:00am and the were about 15 or so boats on the lake, so we chose to fish from shore. Within about 90 minutes, Hunter - age 5, had his limit and I was still working on mine. All fish were in the 10 to 12 inch range and caught on Hunter's favorite bait, pink power egg and yellow power bait. The little guy got cold, so we went home after about 2 hours. I came back in the afternoon and caught my last two fish to finish up my limit.
The nice part about this lake is that WDFW regularly stocks excess hatchery steelhead, rainbow brooders, and silver salmon when available. I saw a few of these 5 to 10 pound brooders and steelhead caught on all things, including flies, worm/marshmallow combos, and you guessed it, powerbait. Take your kids fishin', and good luck!
