arrived at seven am. i cant remember if i fished on the sixth or seventh. oh well. fishing was slow for me. tried a variety of dodgers, lures. went back to my usual nickel seps, with a pair of hooks, a red bead, and corn. ended up with only two of 13". had the biggest strike i have had in a long time. somehow, it came off. leader was gone. and dodger clip was open. halleluja. saw another gent limit out. with ease. so what im thinking, is my corn was old. had some tuna fish corn, and some shrimp/anise. fish seem to be fattening up a bit. largest ive heard of, so far, is 15.5". perhaps thrusday, i will go out. slow. and, both my fish were females. would make sense. the males are not yet in the aggressive mode. as last year, i took just over a dozen hens, out of 155 kokes. so the boys were not biting. leaving me the no biteing, demure hens. just my idea. no pic of he fish. but i will post a pick of some we caught last oct 5.
