Arrived and started fishing about 7. Like the other day, I had no problem getting four in the boat. Then, well, i lost about as many. At ten am, they stopped biting. And nothing i could do, would move them. Best luck, i got off just a single hook, a red bead, and one kernal of korn. And allways when i went erratic. Had a great morning on the lake. Not many boats. One kayak. Havent seen our pet eagle.......

Thanks for info out on the lake. I switch to a dick nite and started hooking up but the big ones where getting off at the boat.
My grandson caught his rainbow so he ready to go home. Might head out there early Monday.

Eagle was out this morning... Husband and I were fishing catch-and-release on our pontoons and no more than a minute or so after he let one back, the poor thing didn't have a chance to recoup and dive under before the eagle swooped down and snatched him up maybe 10 yards away from us! Absolutely beautiful to see, and that amazing bird got his breakfast! lol just thought I'd share ;)

last season, kokanee kid (chuck), and i watched the eagle take out an osprey. then, take it to a dock, and pluck all the feathers off it. "dressin it out".lol. i did not know how that bird ate that whole thing. we had it land six feet from our boat, after a floater. rainbows are good for something, it turns out....

I think it is fine to keep smallmouth, I think the limit is 10, but there is a slot limit. When I take my kids to tapps we always keep a few after they have spawned. I keep them in the live well until the grease is hot, then bleed them and fillet them. 99 percent of bass guys throw them back so populations are strong.
