My first guide trip was 100% successful. I took the Chris lynch Family from Montana out for a day of Kokanee Fishing at Lake Chelan. We found the big Kokane at the Yacht Club right in the middle of the lake between 70 and 105 feet during the middle of the day. We landed 29 Kokanee the 9 small ones came from the nursery fishery down lake in the morning called the Blue Roof area and below. I was trolling at 1.4 mph for the small fish at 50 feet. The big fish were caught trolling at 1.6mph and using three lures rather successfully. The Brad's Pink Mini Cut Plug at 100 feet..... The MoneyMaker Liminator in Purple at 85 feet and the Red 2" Needle Fish at 50 to 70 feet. The Kokanee at the Yacht Club were in the 17" range and put up a great battle on our TICA Ultra Lite Kokanee rod and reels. The Blue Roof area was kicking out 12" fish.

I am headed up for back to back trips this week before the temperature hits over 100 degrees later this week. Kokanee like Garlic in my corn during the hot weather. I use Super Dipping Sauce Garlic in my corn and let it soak. MMM GOOD!!! Remember Needle Fish only get 1 piece of corn on a single hook. Too much corn and the lure action doesn't work.

corn mixed with tuna goes in my Brad's Baits along with garlic salt and garlic oil. MMM Good!!! Stinky stuff!!! Kokanee love all those ingredients when it is hot! Warmer water-- more stink!
