Hit the lake around 5 in the afternoon with my good old fishing buddy (my father), and headed to our honey-hole in the first cove to the right after the you get out of the public launch. We have tried many different spots around the lake in years past and have never had much success. There seems to be a drop off in that cove that the fish love to be hiding in. As soon as we got to the spot we were catching them left and right. We had 3 fish in 10 minutes and limited out within 90 minutes. It was a great day on the lake, only one other trailer parked at the launch and luckily no wind. We were bottom fishing from the boat casting towards the shore using yellow and chartreuse colored powerbait and added some of the liquid stank to the bait.
