Bite was weird this last weekend. Caught a 12 or 13" cuttie, Some 9-11" Kokes, and a good number of Chinook juveniles, similar sized to the Kokanee. WDFW supposedly didnt catch any Kings during their 2013 electro fishing survey. This really surprises me because at least half of the fish this weekend were nooks, even more than last fall (Obvious)
Only long leaders were reliable. Long leaders were probably the key, given it is very early yet.
This year will be weird fishing in general with the strange weather. Caught fish very shallow and down to 45' on wire. All small.
Springer Kings are being brought in from some other hatchery as part of the ladder plan.
I can't help but wonder what the implications will be for the resident Kings which have persevered in this lake since it was dammed in the 40s.
