Well the fishing at W. Medical Lake is very good with my second limit in two days. The water quality is surprisingly good; no "Green Goo" and even a Western pond turtle or two to talk to. All fish have been fighting well with several BIG BOYS breaking my leader in the off shore weeds and snags. If you plan to eat these fish; I heavily suggest cleaning them ASAP and putting them on ice or you will experience that notorious "grassy taste". I'll preach my usual "Please P/U the Litter(!)" as W.Medical always eems to a attract more than just the "Three Little Pigs". To be honest, the problem has somewhat decreased and I salute the all of you for helping with this on-going problem.

How big were those "Big Boy" trout, do you think? Did you get a look at them jumping before they broke off?

I fish rather light by some angler's standards; no more than 6 lb. test main line and never more than 4 lb.test leader. I have caught fish to over 6+ Lbs. from Sprague Lake, W. Medical and Badger Lake in E. WA with such a still fishing setup on a UL/L spinning rod in 6 1/2' - 8 1/2' length.
Those "Big Boys" felt every bit as big as any 3 - 4 Lb.+ rainbow from any lake. The W. Medical Lake rainbows fight very HARD and with the lake's usual weedy and at times snaggy bottom…Hard to tell.
