First time camping and fishing this lake. Weather was sunny and warm all 3 days I fished. I arrived late Thursday, and was surprised at how many people were fishing. I spoke with several groups at the north end of the lake and they had been catching lots of fish. Lake is low, but a local told me that it's always that way and will fill up once the irrigation water starts up in the canals. Picked up 3 bows using marshmallow and worm on Friday fishing for several hours from my camping spot. 12-14 inches Weather was sunny, 65 and the lake was glass all day. Friday night I picked up a nice 23 inch 3-4 lb bow on marshmallow and worm, so there are some big fish in there. Sat. I decided relax, sit by the lake and fish and read a book. The day started off sunny, but by noon the wind picked up and clouds were filling the sky. It was like someone flipped a switch and nobody was catching anything. Late in the afternoon I walked along the lake and talked to 8-10 people fishing and only a few fish were caught. Lake was packed all day and the large group near where I was camped fished for 4 hrs with one fish caught. I didn't have a bite all day and had my line in the water a good 8 hrs. Oh well, I enjoyed the great weather and did pick up one nice fish.
