Those sound like some nice fish! around 1 pound is not too shabby. holdover rainbows? You were there on Monday? We must have saw you as the not many boats on the water that morning. Rather catch big than small myself. Hopefully next trip is even more productive for you and you get some monster fish.

I don't think that lake has hold overs . Its the closest lake to get too for me But I hate the boat launch so I don't go here often .

Gosh after looking at some of the pictures of this lake ,sure looks like a super nice place to try your luck at fishing , not sure as to what the issue
would be with the boat launch ,from the satellite picture it shows a few logs at the edge of the launch nothing that a person couldn't row around
I would think . Most inviting and with that size of fish even more exciting . Hey NW Drifter15 thank you so much for your report .

I was thinking holdovers from the fall stock that it got along with Tye, Green lake and many other lakes. I caught one here.. not too large though and I caught a long thin holdover from Tye

I should have said I don't go that often because I have to take my motor off my boat. As the lake water gets lower it makes it hard to get bigger boats out on the lake.

I have never fished Tye lake or Chain lake, I try to fish bigger lakes most of the time so I don't have to take my motor off my boat.

Say NWDrifter15 your lake report from the first sure sparked an interest , and not thinking it would be as nice as described , had to go see today
seems the three people that were out fishing the lake after lunch were all catching 3 fish each in a short time 1-2 hours same as you were doing. One very nice lady said she comes down once or twice a week in the nice weather while her kids are in school. she looked like an old pro at it, nice 12 boat with ele troll motor and ores anchor line the whole setup needles to say I didn't bring the boat still kicking my self for that one well for sure I'll be coming back soon after looking at the topographic lake map some dandy ledges to fish all 4 sides of the lake with near a 100ft hole in the center, met up with the resident goose in the parking lot while eating lunch quite the bird I must say , The wife took a 4to 5minute vedio funny , that crazy bird was a real ham if he could of talked I'm sure it could have told some stories. Anyway thank's again for the report.

I think NWDrifter15 meant that all 3 fish together added up to 1 pound. I've fished this lake for years & average size is way down this year.

But the good news is there are tons of fish there this year - due to the fall steelhead plant last year. Try trolling a fly around - setup like this http://gonefishingnw.com/make-that-fly-dance. Lately I've been getting them about 10' down.
